If you are shopping for a Veil:

 

Belly Dance veils are 2 1/2 to 3 yards long by 45" wide. 

Chiffon, silk or a soft silky fabric works best!

 

I like 2 3/4 yards long and rounded. 

Here's a quick video showing you how to cut your fabric if you sew....
